Terms of Service
Last updated 2 September 2026
These terms govern your use of Veribred (“the service”), operated by Haijahr Limited (“we”, “us”). By creating an account, listing on our marketplace, or using the service as a buyer, you agree to them.
1. The service
Veribred has two connected parts. For breeders and kennels, it is web software to manage your animals, litters and records, reminders, buyer enquiries and viewing requests, public listing pages, buyer reviews, sale contracts with online signing, deposit and balance payments, handover packs, and licensing and compliance records including uploaded policies and health documents. For the public, Veribred is a marketplace where verified breeders list available puppies, kittens and other animals they have bred, and where buyers can browse, enquire, reserve and pay a deposit to the breeder directly. We may add, change or remove features over time.
2. Your account
You must give accurate details and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and for the people you invite to your kennel. You must be 18 or over.
3. Free trial, subscription and billing
- New kennels start on a free trial. Unless you cancel before it ends, it converts to a paid subscription automatically.
- Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown on our pricing page and may change with at least 30 days' notice.
- Prices are exclusive of VAT. We add UK VAT where it applies; VAT-registered business customers outside the UK who provide a valid VAT number may be zero-rated under the reverse charge.
- Payments and card details are handled by our payment provider (Stripe); we do not store your card details.
- You can cancel at any time and access continues until the end of the paid period. Because the service is digital and available immediately, fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
4. Referral scheme
Where we offer a referral scheme, existing customers can invite others using a personal referral link. If someone signs up through your link and becomes a paying subscriber, the reward described at the time (for example account credit towards your subscription) is applied to your account, and the person you referred may receive an introductory discount on their plan. Rewards and discounts apply only once the referred customer has an active paid subscription, are limited to one per referred kennel, are personal to you, have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash. You must not refer yourself, create accounts to claim rewards, or share your link in a misleading or spammy way. We may withhold or reverse any reward or discount we reasonably believe results from abuse, fraud or error, and we may change or withdraw the scheme at any time.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, including: breaking the law, uploading unlawful or infringing content, attempting to access other kennels' data, disrupting the service, or reselling it without our agreement. You are also responsible for anything you publish through the service (for example a listing or a public page): you must have the right to use the photos and information, keep it accurate and not misleading, and meet the rules that apply to advertising animals, including displaying your licence number where required.
6. The Veribred marketplace
The marketplace is for breeders only. By listing on it you confirm that you are the breeder of the animals you list (or a rehoming organisation we have approved), and that you are not reselling animals bred by others or acting as a dealer. You must:
- list only animals you have bred and that are, or will be, genuinely available;
- keep every listing accurate, current and not misleading, including price, location, age, breed, microchipping and any health testing you state;
- comply with the law on selling and advertising animals, including Lucy's Law, the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018, and your local authority licence conditions, and show the required information such as your licence number;
- not list any animal whose sale or breeding is prohibited (for example breeds banned under the Dangerous Dogs Act), and let buyers see the animal with its mother before purchase.
“Veribred Verified” means we have checked signals that a breeder is genuine, such as a current council breeding licence or Kennel Club Assured Breeder status. It is an indicator, not a guarantee: we do not inspect premises, vet individual animals, or warrant any breeder, listing, animal or statement. We do not charge buyers any fee, and we take no commission on your sales. We may refuse, edit, reorder, suspend or remove any listing or account, and operate a reporting tool for buyers, so that we can act on listings that appear inaccurate, unlawful or unsafe. We are not the seller and are not a party to any sale arranged through the marketplace.
7. Your content and data
You keep ownership of the information you put into Veribred (your animals, litters, records, documents, images and the details of your buyers and enquirers). You grant us the licence needed to host, process and — where you choose to publish it, such as on a listing or public page — display that content to run the service, including generating processed copies (for example watermarked or resized images). For the personal data you enter about other people, your kennel is the data controller and we act as your processor; how we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy, which includes the data-processing terms that apply between us. You are responsible for having the right to use that information, for its accuracy, and for meeting your own legal obligations as a breeder (including any licensing, microchipping and record-keeping duties). Compliance features in the service are aids, not legal advice.
8. Contracts and electronic signatures
The service lets you create, send and take online signatures on sale contracts (for a puppy, kitten or other animal) between you and your buyer. Any such contract is solely between you and the buyer: we are not a party to it and are not responsible for its content, lawfulness or enforceability, which are your responsibility. A signature captured in the service (for example, a buyer typing their name and confirming agreement) is intended to be an electronic signature; we record details such as the signatory's name, the date and time and an IP address as evidence that signing took place. It is your responsibility to ensure your contracts are appropriate and complete.
9. Taking payments from your buyers
You may choose to collect deposits and balance payments from your buyers through the service. To do this you connect your own account with our payment provider (Stripe) and complete their onboarding and identity checks. Payments your buyers make go directly to your connected account; we do not hold your funds and, for these buyer payments, we do not take a commission or fee. Your use of the connected account is also subject to Stripe's own terms, which you accept during onboarding. The sale, and any deposit, refund, cancellation or dispute arising from it, is between you and your buyer: you are responsible for setting your own deposit and refund terms, for issuing refunds, and for resolving chargebacks and disputes. We are not a party to the sale and do not provide payment or escrow services beyond making this connection available.
10. Reviews
The service lets you invite buyers to review their experience and to display approved reviews on your public page. Reviews are the personal opinions of the people who write them, not us. You choose which reviews to publish and may decline or remove any of them, but you must not publish reviews you know to be fake, change a reviewer's words so they mean something different, offer anything in exchange for a positive review, or hide genuine reviews in a way that misleads buyers. A reviewer keeps ownership of what they write and grants the licence needed to display it. We are not responsible for the content of reviews; where a review is unlawful, resolving that is between you and the reviewer, and we may remove content that breaches these terms.
11. If you are a buyer or enquirer
When you browse, enquire, reserve or pay through Veribred, you are dealing with the breeder, not with us. We provide the platform that connects you; we are not the seller, not a party to your purchase, and we do not charge you any fee. Any deposit or payment you make goes directly to the breeder through Stripe. While we check signals that a breeder is genuine and mark them as Verified, this is not a guarantee, so please do your own checks too: ask about health testing and the contract, and always see the animal with its mother, at the breeder's home, before you buy. Reserving or paying a deposit is subject to the breeder's own terms, including their deposit and refund policy, and any dispute about a sale is between you and the breeder. If a listing or a message ever seems wrong, please report it and we will review it.
12. Third-party services
We rely on trusted third parties to run the service, including cloud hosting, our payment provider (Stripe), our email provider, mapping/geocoding to show location, and the AI provider used to read photos you submit. Their processing of personal data on our behalf is covered in our privacy policy.
13. Our intellectual property
We own the Veribred software, brand and content. Using the service does not transfer any of those rights to you.
14. Availability and disclaimer
We work hard to keep the service running but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and features involving automated reading of photos are provided on a best-efforts basis. The service is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law.
15. Limitation of liability
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profits or data, and our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period (and, where you are a buyer who paid us no fee, to £100).
16. Termination
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms. On termination you can ask for an export of your data for a reasonable period before it is deleted.
17. Changes
We may update these terms; we will post the new version here and, for material changes, let you know. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
18. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
