Buying a puppy or kitten online should feel safe. Veribred is designed so that it does, by only ever letting genuine, verified breeders list, and keeping you in direct contact with them.
Anyone can post a pet on a classifieds site, which is exactly how scams and puppy-farm flipping happen. On Veribred, only breeders can list. Every animal comes straight from the person who bred and raised it, never resold by a middleman.
Before a breeder's litters appear, we check the things that prove they're genuine: their council breeding licence and, where they have it, Kennel Club Assured Breeder status and council star rating. Look for the green "Veribred Verified" badge.
The law (Lucy's Law) says a puppy or kitten must be sold by its breeder, from the place it was born, and seen with its mum. Because Veribred is breeder-direct, that's exactly how every sale works. You visit the breeder and meet the litter with the mother before you commit.
Some marketplaces add up to 9.5% to your bill at checkout. Veribred never charges buyers a penny. You pay the breeder's price directly to the breeder, with a deposit to reserve and the balance on collection.
If a listing or a message ever seems off, tell us and we'll act quickly. Genuine breeders welcome your questions about health testing, the parents, the contract and the pet's start in life.
